The Office of Early Childhood is committed to delivering on its promise to better serve the young children and families of Connecticut.
We know you play a pivotal role in helping the young children and families whose lives you touch each day. Whether it’s helping children learn and grow every day, strengthening families with support for parents, connecting families to the services and support they need, or helping to keep young children healthy through nutrition, healthy activity and immunizations, you are an integral piece of the fabric of your families’ lives.
In an effort to bring to the forefront the young children and families we serve, the Office of Early Childhood is asking you to submit your most touching and moving stories about the families you serve. It can be poignant or uplifting. It can show how the early childhood system was able to help a family or highlight weaknesses in our system. We would like your stories to remind the Office of Early Childhood how our work developing policy, administering programs and determining early childhood priorities affects young children and families, and we would like to keep these stories in mind when making these decisions.
The stories you submit may be shared with our staff in memos, included in publications or shared on our social media sites. We ask that you consider the privacy of the families whose stories you are sharing and either change their names in the story or ask their permission to use their story.
By submitting your story, you are agreeing to allow the Office of Early Childhood to use the story and that the families have granted you permission to submit their story or there are no details identifying the family in the story.
Thank you for sharing your stories and for all that you do
for the young children and families of our state.
